Shannon Gutierrez Seal was slated after the primaries to run as the Democrat Sheriff Candidate, since there were no Democrat Sheriff Candidates in the primaries. She was withdrew from the race after learning that IL election law would not allow her to run, due to having taken a Republican Ballot in the Primaries.
